DIY Raspberry Pi cluster

Summary
I have few Raspberry Pis…stuck somewhere… I wanted to use it meaningfully. So I decided to build Raspberry Pi cluster. This is hardware building part of the whole story.
Scope of this article
Most interesting part (for me) is how those computers are configured and connected each other. But this part, is about hardware construction…which is more interesting to readers I believe.
Preparation
First, I prepared hardware like below;
- Raspberry Pis (2*4B, 2*3B+, 2*3B)
- External SSDs
- Frames * 3 (from Dollarama)
- Tie wraps
- Spacers
- Power bar
- Ethernet switch (8 port)
- Ethernet cables * 8
- Power supply for Raspberry Pi
Step 1. Putting Raspberry Pis together
I used spacers to put those together.
Step 2. Putting everything on the frame
Assembled frames, and put everything on the frame, attaching to it using tie wraps.
Step 3. Wiring (Ethernet and power)
Arranging cables nicely, using tie wraps here again.
